Agility Classes

Only after a consultation to determine your dog’s knowledge of basic agility or graduating our obedience advanced class can you go into Bootcamp Agility 1. This is a fun goal to achieve. Agility is the ultimate dog and human team sport!

We have Bootcamp Agility 1 and Bootcamp Agility 2 classes. After your dog completes these two classes learns all basic obedience, stays connected to their handler and follows direction well and comfortable on the equipment, then it’s time to head out with the” big dogs” in the large ring.  This is the Open and Advanced Agility classes! This is also when your class prices drop to $20.00 a class.

Agility 1 and Agility 2 classes are held every. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays evenings at 6 and 7 pm. This is a big milestone to cross.

Then we shift your goal to attending your first Agility event. This is a super fun engaging sport with you and your dog. We will mentor you to success!  We have an agility club on site. The Santa Clarita Valley Dog Agility Club.

Agility Privates $45.00
Agility Group Drop-in Class $40.00
Agility Group Bootcamp 1 and 2. 6 week courses $210.00 = $35.00 a class)
Agility Group 2 times a week for 6 weeks (12 classes) $380.00
Combo Discount. 1 private and 1 group class a week for 6 weeks $400.00

AGILITY 1 and 2 Classes 

After Graduation or Evaluation of experienced Agility dog You will advance to full agility classes. This is when the price drops so you can train consistently for trials. 

Agility 1 with Tammy Robinson ($30 per dog)

Agility 2 with Tammy Robinson ($25 per dog)

Classes are offered for Dogs that have a good sit and stay, recall and are well connected to their handler. This class is also intended as a stepping stone for those that are interested in someday showing their dogs in agility competition.

*All classes are to be paid four weeks in advance no refund for no-shows. We will allow one make up class.

IMPORTANT: Junior handlers 16 and under are required to attend an obedience class before trying to enter any kind of agility class. Sorry, no students under 10.

No refunds for missing class or quitting. However, if weather or other factors cause class to be cancelled a refund will be issued.

Private Classes:

Private lessons with a skilled trainer with a lifetime of experience. You can rest assured knowing that your dog will learn basic obedience, advanced commands, and good manners. The advantages of one-on-one lessons with your trainer gives us the entire time to focus primarily on you and your dog’s connection. We will target your dog’s individual needs and address the weak spots to help you build a strong relationship with your dog. We use several methods of training, implementing positive reinforcement methods. 

The first step to enrolling your dog in private lessons is to schedule an in-person consultation class. During this meeting we will evaluate your dog’s temperament, discuss behaviors or issues you are noticing, and discuss any specific training goals you have. At the end, we will tell you exactly where you will start and the approach we will take. We may feel your dog needs one-on-one private lessons for a certain amount of time and or feel your dog could go directly into group classes. After your consultation we will have an idea of approximately how long it will take to train your dog in basic obedience.

Dog Obedience Training Classes

SCV Dog Agility Club is offering Dog Obedience Training Classes on Saturday mornings with Barbi Ruby. The class is limited to 8 students, so there is plenty of individual attention as well as group interaction. Cost is $125.00 for the 8 weeks of class. Pre-registration is required.
